RPL Shares Insights on Native Advertising, UGC and the Law as Part of Internet Week NY

Last week, Reavis Parent Lehrer LLP hosted a Citywide Event as part of Internet Week NY 2016. RPL Attorneys Marla M. Gordon, Deena R. Merlen and Allison M. Grein hosted an informal discussion about legal issues related to native advertising, sponsored content, UGC, endorsements and testimonials, which have become powerful advertising tools for companies in the digital arena.

RPL Attorneys and participants discussed the importance of truth in advertising and disclosing material connections, as well as the interpretation of Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulations regarding “deceptively formatted advertisements” and endorsements.
