Nicole D. (“Niki”) Cubides
Nicole D. (“Niki”) Cubides graduated from Florida State University (B.S., summa cum laude, 2006) and New York University School of Law (J.D., 2011), where she served as an Articles Editor of the Journal of Legislation & Public Policy and a traveling member of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Team. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Cubides taught eighth grade mathematics to under-resourced youth in the Bronx under the auspices of the Teach for America program. Her passion for educational equity led her to work as a Law Clerk for the New York City Department of Education’s Legal Department during law school (2010). As an active student on her law school’s campus, Ms. Cubides wrote for the NYU Law School blog and served as Co-Chair of Law Women and founding Co-Chair of the International Arbitration Association. She has also worked as a Legal Intern and Legal & Communications Manager for Indego Africa, a social enterprise dedicated to empowering businesswomen in Africa, and currently serves as a Member of its New York Regional Volunteer Board. During law school and following her law school graduation, Ms. Cubides worked at The Law Firm of Rosalind Lichter, in the areas of entertainment law, music law, and independent film (2011). She joined the Reavis Parent Lehrer LLP team in January 2012 as a Law Clerk in the practice areas of entertainment, media, intellectual property, employment and dispute resolution. Ms. Cubides is a Member of the New York Women’s Bar Association and a certified yoga instructor. Ms. Cubides passed the July 2011 New York State bar examination, and her admission to the New York State Bar is pending.
