Alice K. Jump
Alice K. Jump graduated from Yale University (B.A., magna cum laude, 1978) and received her law degree from Columbia University School of Law (J.D., 1982) where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and Associate Editor for the Journal of Environmental Law. Ms. Jump’s practice focuses on litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution, with particular emphasis in representing clients in the financial services industry. She practiced at one of the world’s largest international law firms and is a former in-house counsel to a major broker-dealer. Ms. Jump has extensive experience in arbitrations and regulatory proceedings before the SEC, FINRA, and other industry tribunals. She has also represented clients in a wide variety of cases in the state and federal courts involving securities, employment, discrimination and whistle blowing claims, real estate, partnerships, intellectual property and general commercial disputes. Ms. Jump’s practice also includes counseling organizations and individuals in connection with employment issues. She has also been involved with a number of not-for-profit organizations that offer legal advice to clients on a pro-bono basis including South Brooklyn Legal Services, Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and, more recently, a neighborhood legal center that provides legal representation to older New Yorkers in need. A native of Colorado, Ms. Jump is a Partner with the Firm and a member of the bar of the State of New York and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
